"At the end, '18 is more round, voluminous, sweet, silky, ripe, intense," Pierre Olivier says. The 2019, he says, "is for sure a high-level, quality vintage and is meant to be a little more academic with a certain power." It also has "a huge density, but more importantly than just the density, a huge depth. The wine has plenty of layers, the length is huge, and the way the wine evolves on the nose is typical of the DNA of Cheval Blanc."
