The FBI announced “what appears to be human remains” were found in the search for Gabby Petito’s fiancé, Brian Laundrie. A notebook and backpack that appear to belong to Laundrie were also found in an area “that up until recently have been under water.” Lawrence Kobilinsky is a forensic scientist and a professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He tells Anderson Cooper what the next steps in identifying the remains will be and says if a body was submerged in water “decomposition would have been slowed down, as compared to a body above ground.” Plus, Republican Rep.
